Chelsea have no intention of allowing Moises Caicedo to leave in the summer transfer window, football.london understands, with interest in the midfielder from Saudi Arabia.
The 23-year-old has been one of the best in his position in the Premier League this season and the fully appreciate just how exceptional he is. has a contract at Stamford Bridge that runs until 2031 after signing for a British record transfer fee of £115million in the summer of 2023 after turning down Liverpool in favour of a move to west London.
Caicedo was impressive during his debut season with Chelsea under Mauricio Pochettino but has took his performances to another level this term. Al-Nassr, the Saudi Pro League outfit Cristiano Ronaldo plays for, have expressed an interest in the Ecuador international ahead of the summer transfer window. Interest in Caicedo is natural given the level he has played at throughout the season. was speaking about the Ecuadorian earlier in the month and described the former Brighton man as the best defensive midfielder in the world: "In this moment, he is one of the best, if not the best, defensive midfielder in the world.
"He is doing fantastic. The best thing about Moi is that every day he is working serious. He is very humble, very kind, polite. He is a fantastic guy."
Caicedo himself believes the four years he has spent in the Premier League, firstly at Brighton, has improved his level massively. Speaking in an interview back in January, the Chelsea midfielder said: "In football, especially the Premier League, there are always highs and lows. I've learned a lot from when things have gone against me, and from when they’ve gone in my favour. I’m learning something new in every game I play. I have learned thousands of things.
"The Premier League is the best league in the world because there are so many talented players; fast, strong, quality players. You come up against everything in this league. Anything can happen in this league. You can play against a team at the bottom of the table, and it can feel like you’re playing one of the top teams in the table. And so it’s really great that in every game you have to compete and give your all and show your quality."
