Recently, the Uttar Pradesh government has launched a special scheme to encourage farmers towards modern farming. Under this scheme, essential agricultural equipment such as tractors, rotavators, sprayers, multi-crop threshers, and power tillers are being provided to farmers at a 50 to 60 percent subsidy.

Half-price discount on agricultural equipment
Under this scheme of the UP government, farmers will get a variety of modern equipment at very low prices. Equipment like tractors, rotavators, harrows, sprayers, and threshers is a great help in farming. What used to take hours can now be done in minutes. The government is providing farmers with a subsidy of up to 50% so they can easily purchase this equipment.
According to Agriculture Officer Bhagwati Prasad, the objective of the scheme is to connect farmers with technology and make farming profitable. Farmers can purchase any equipment from any authorized dealer and receive the subsidy by submitting the bill to the Agriculture Department.
How to apply and how much discount will you receive?
The online application process for subsidy under this scheme began on October 15th and will continue until October 29th at 12 midnight. All farmers can apply by visiting the department's website, agridarshan.up.gov.in, or by visiting the nearest CSC center.
No token fee will be charged for small implements. However, a token fee of ₹2,500 will be charged for implements costing between ₹10,000 and ₹50,000, and up to ₹5,000 for implements costing lakhs of rupees. After availing the scheme, farmers can purchase their implements from the store of their choice. They can then submit the invoice to receive the subsidy.
