This insurance cover provides insurance for accidental death to the debit card holder in addition to air travel. If the ATM card has been used during the last 90 days from the date of accident, then a claim can be made for this insurance cover.
This insurance covers the debit cardholder only for air accidental death. If financial transactions have been made through this card within 90 days before the date of the accident, and the ticket for the air journey in which the accident occurred has been purchased using the debit card, then a claim can be made for the insurance.

If an ATM card holder dies in an accident, the nominee of the card holder has to go to the bank branch where the account was opened. There, an application for compensation has to be submitted. Necessary documents have to be submitted to the bank. After a few days, the nominee gets the insurance claim, but keep in mind that under the insurance policy, only if the card holder dies or meets with an accident within 45 days of using the ATM card, the dependents of the person concerned can claim compensation.
