Many people often have to face problems due to the malfunctioning of traffic signals in big cities. Especially in cities like Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida, malfunctioning of traffic signals leads to jams and accidents. In such a situation, Delhi Traffic Police is taking a big step to prevent accidents due to malfunctioning of traffic signals in Delhi. Soon Delhi Police can add a new feature to the Traffic Prahari app. Through which common people will be able to immediately complain about faulty traffic signals. Through this feature, information about the malfunction of the signal will reach the police directly, due to which the repair work will be done faster and the jam and accidents on the roads will be reduced.
Complain through the unique ID of traffic signal
Delhi Traffic Police has given a unique ID to all the traffic signals in the city. This ID number is written directly on the signal pole. Which makes it easy for any driver to identify the faulty signal. In such a situation, if the traffic signal of your area stops working, then you just have to note the ID written on the pole. After this, a complaint can be lodged by calling the traffic control room number 1095 directly. As soon as the complaint is registered, the traffic police contacts the concerned agency and gets the signal fixed as soon as possible.
Traffic Prahari app will also help
Delhi Traffic Police is considering adding a new feature to its Traffic Prahari app. Through this, common people will not only be able to share information about those breaking traffic rules but will also be able to complain about faulty traffic signals directly in the system. Officials believe that this will speed up the repair process and better monitoring of signals will be possible in the long run.
How to complain?
If the signal in your area is faulty, then after the new feature comes, you will be able to share photos and location in just a few clicks. With which your complaint will reach the control room of the traffic police directly and from there the maintenance team will be sent immediately. Till now, different ways were adopted to complain about bad signals. Till now, complaints were made by calling the helpline number, posting on social media or complaining to the patrolling team. Due to this, the repair work gets delayed and the risk of accidents increases.
