What is the Instagram Blend Feature?

The Blend feature gives users the option to create a customized reel feed, which they can share with a friend or group. A user can create as many Blend feeds as possible, which will show content on different interests and viewing habits of the group. The content will be refreshed daily and users will get an engaging experience every time they check in.

Users will be able to join Blends only through invites. For this, users will have to send a direct message. After this, they will be able to send Blend requests, which users will have to accept. As soon as you accept a Blend, it will become active in the chat.

How to create a Blend Feed?

Step 1. First open one-on-one or group DM chat.

Step 2. Now you have to tap on the new Blend icon on the chat screen.

Step 3. Here you have to click on Invite and send a Blend invite.

Step 4. Blend feed will start only when one member accepts the request.

Step 3. You can visit the shared feed anytime by tapping on Blend.

Content on Instagram's Blend Feed will be updated daily, every time users visit it, they will get to see new reels, which will be based on their choice. All members will get notifications on reacting to or liking any reel on the group.

This new feature of Instagram is inspired by the Blend feature of the music streaming app Spotify. On Spotify, users can share playlists with their friends or family.
