"Always wanna see you smiling..": Preity Zinta pens appreciation post for Yuzvendra Chahal post his brilliant spell against KKR

Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], April 17 (ANI): Yuzvendra Chahal, one of the leading bowlers of Team India, recently won everyone's hearts with his performance against Kolkata Knight Riders in a low-scoring IPL match at Mullanpur Cricket Stadium.
On April 15, the Punjab Kings team created history as they defended the lowest-ever total in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Credits go to the entire Punjab team, but it was Chahal who truly stole the show with his bowling skills.

Chahal was introduced into the attack in the seventh over of the innings, with KKR going strong at 62/2. However, the leg spinner, in no time, bamboozled Kolkata Knight Riders batters, chipping away with 4 wickets. He first dismissed KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane. He then got wickets of Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Rinku Singh, and Ramandeep Singh to tilt the pendulum towards the Punjab Kings' side. Even though PBKS had only made 111, they managed to attack the KKR with their amazing bowling prowess and finished the match with a stupendous 16-run victory.
And now, a few days after the thrilling match, PBKS' co-owner and actor Preity Zinta penned an appreciation post for Yuzvendra. She even recalled her first meeting with Yuzi in 2009 and shared a picture from that meeting.
"How it started vs how it's going, I met Yuzi during the King's Cup in 2009 in Chandigarh. I was new to cricket & he was a young under-19 cricketer. Over the years, I saw him flourish & become a force to reckon with in the cricket world. I loved his competitive attitude & always wanted him in our team, but somehow the stars never aligned......until now! Our last game was a great example of why I have been such a fan of Yuzi over the years and how, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. I'm so happy to finally have you back where you belong, @yuzi_chahal23. Chahal credited the entire team for the win.
"It is a team effort. We wanted to be positive, and we felt that if we got 2-3 wickets in the powerplay, then it would be good. In the last game, I conceded 56 for 4 overs, but I had full confidence and backed myself and my abilities," Chahal explained.
"I always have the mindset of how to get the batters out. I varied my pace, and if they have to hit, they will have to make an effort. When you win such a game, the team's morale will be high. It's my first man of the match for Punjab, I'm confident that if I keep backing my skills and believe in myself, then I will get success," he further said.
Punjab Kings will next lock horns with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 18. (ANI)
