Send Push
The romantic comedy Mere Husband Ki Biwi, featuring prominent Bollywood names like Rakul Preet Singh, Arjun Kapoor, and Bhumi Pednekar, is all set to premiere on an OTT platform very soon. Initially released in cinemas on February 21, 2025, the film garnered a mixed response from viewers. While some segments of the audience found the storyline entertaining, it failed to generate significant traction at the box office.

Now, after its lukewarm performance in theatres, the love-triangle drama is gearing up for a digital release. Audiences who missed it on the big screen can now catch the movie from the comfort of their homes.

Streaming Release Information

Directed by filmmaker Mudassar Aziz, Mere Husband Ki Biwi is scheduled to release on a major OTT platform within this month. As per several media outlets, the digital release date is confirmed for Friday, April 18, 2025. The film explores modern-day relationships and delves into themes like romantic confusion, emotional memory loss, and the complexities that couples face in contemporary marriages.

Cast and Crew Highlights

The movie boasts a dynamic ensemble cast including Rakul Preet Singh, Arjun Kapoor, and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles. Supporting performances are delivered by actors such as Dino Morea, Aditya Seal, Shakti Kapoor, and Kavita Kapoor. The screenplay is penned by director Mudassar Aziz himself, who has previously helmed several light-hearted entertainers. The film is produced under the banner of Pooja Entertainment, with Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Jackie Bhagnani serving as producers.

Box Office Report

Despite the star-studded lineup and the publicity surrounding it, Mere Husband Ki Biwi could not make a mark commercially. The total earnings amounted to ₹8.25 crore, a disappointing figure compared to its estimated production budget of ₹60 crore. The film opened modestly with a day-one collection of ₹1.5 crore and struggled to sustain its run, eventually exiting theatres after just 13 days.

Interestingly, the movie hit screens on the anniversary of Jackie Bhagnani and Rakul Preet Singh, making it a symbolic release. Industry insiders suggested it was intended as a celebratory gesture from Jackie to his wife, Rakul.

Though the film underperformed in cinemas, the OTT release gives it a second shot at finding an appreciative audience among digital viewers who prefer streaming over theatrical experiences.
