Sunny Deol is in the headlines these days for the film 'Jaat'. The film is performing well at the box office. But after its release, the film has been caught in a big controversy. Protests were held by the Christian community in Punjab against Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda's film Jaat. After this, an FIR has been registered in Jalandhar. It is alleged that in the film, Randeep Hooda has disrespected Jesus Christ and the holy things used in Christianity.

A case has been registered against Bollywood actors Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar, director Gopi Chand, producer Naveen Malineni of Jaat film in Jalandhar's Sadar police station.
Why are they protesting? In Jalandhar, Christians had given a written complaint demanding that if action is not taken, then cinema halls at the Punjab level will be banned. It has been said in the complaint that disrespect has been shown in the scene and religious sentiments have been hurt by this. Earlier, people of Tamil Nadu have also demanded a ban on the film, because they say that the LTTE community (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) has been portrayed as terrorists in the film.
