Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic incident was reported in Bhopal's Berasia area, where a young man consumed poison late on Tuesday night. He died during treatment on Wednesday morning.
His wife, who had been living at her maternal home for nine years, refused to live with him. Upset, he decided to kill himself.
On the other hand, the family members alleged that the wife had filed several cases against him.
The deceased has been identified as Mohan Singh (34), son of Matam Singh, a resident of Imaliya village, who worked as a farmer. For nine years, his wife has been living at her maternal home in Shamshabad with both the daughters. Mohan and his family members tried to convince her several times, however, she refused to return.
Troubled by court appearance
The deceased's nephew Raja Rajput said that Mohan Singh's mother-in-law had registered a case of attempted murder against his uncle.
The case dates back to last year when he had gone to his aunt's maternal home to pick her up. After a quarrel there, Mohan Singh beat up his mother-in-law.
Troubled by the court appearance and his wife not returning, he had talked about committing suicide several times in the past as well.
Police started investigation
Investigating officer said that a case has been registered in the matter. After the postmortem, the body has been handed over to the family. No suicide note has been found from the spot. The detailed statements of the family members have also not been recorded yet. The case is being investigated.
