Renowned singer-music composer Vishal Dadlani bid goodbye to the singing reality show, Indian Idol, after being a judge on its panel for six seasons. He took to his social media on Monday to announce the end of his tryst with Indian Idol and said that he now wants to focus all his time and energy into making and performing music across the world.

Vishal took to his Instagram to share a cutesy video with his co-judges Shreya Ghoshal and Badshah. Along with that, he penned a lengthy note that read, "Alvida, yaaro. 6 seasons mein jitna mazaa kiya, uss se bhi zyada yaad aayegi. Haqq se zyada pyaar milaa hai, iss show ki vajah se. Eternally grateful to everyone involved. I hope the show will miss me as much as I’ll miss it (sic)."

Explaining his reason for parting ways with Indian Idol, Vishal added, "I’m literally only leaving because I want my time back. Can’t stay stuck in Mumbai for 6 months each year! (sic)."

'Time to get back to making music, playing concerts and never putting on make-up! It’s #VishalAndSheykhar season! (sic)," he concluded.

Fans showered their love on Vishal and expressed how they will miss seeing him on the reality show, but they also shared their excitement of listening to his fresh music once again.

Vishal judged Indian Idol from its 10th season to the recently-concluded 15th season. He also judged Indian Idol Junior 1 and 2.

Meanwhile, Indian Idol 15 concluded on Sunday with 24-year-old Manasi Ghosh being declared the winner. She defeated Subhajit Chakraborty and Sneha Shankar, and took home a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh and a swanky car, along with the winner's trophy.
