Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav hailed the Dial-112 service at the launch event in Bhopal on Thursday. He said that in 2015, he had thought police station in-charges would misuse the Dial-100 vehicles.
“I asked Babuji (Babulal Gaur), ‘I am not able to understand how Dial-100 works.’ Babuji told me to watch the programme, and later all my opinions completely changed. Dial-100 was technologically driven, and no one could misuse it,” he continued.

Notably, the new Dial-112 service has been launched to replace the decade-old Dial-100.
Addressing the gathering, CM Yadav also shared his earlier experience with Dial-100 and conversations about it with the then Home Minister Babulal Gaur.
“It is like Aladdin ka Chirag,” he added.
He further informed, "The journey of Dial-100 has been remarkable - providing assistance to 2.23 lakh senior citizens, ensuring the safety of 19.71 lakh women, saving the lives of 1,300 abandoned newborns, and reuniting 23,000 missing children with their families."

The CM also praised police personnel for putting their lives at risk for the cause of humanity.
Remembering the Partition on the eve of Independence Day, he said that everyone should remember the painful day which divided India into two nations.
On the occasion, DGP Kailash Makwana informed the CM had instructed him to roll out the new Dial-112 service before August 15, 2025, as he did not want to give any extension to the old Dial-100.
He added that the efforts of an honest team of officers had turned the dream of Dial-112 into reality.
