Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The city witnessed a grand and devotional welcome for Rashtrasant Acharya Shri Vihar Sagar Maharaj and his sangh on Friday.
The auspicious entry procession began at 8 AM from the historic Rajwada to Modi Ji Ki Nasiyan, accompanied by thousands of devotees. Women in saffron sarees and men in white traditional attire walked in devotion with bands and music.
The sangh united at Manak Chowk, where Acharya Ji’s procession merged with the sangh of Muni Shri Vishrant Sagar and Muni Shri Aditya Sagar at the Ramashah Ji Temple.
Along the route, devotees performed traditional rituals, including Pad Prakshalan (washing the feet of saints) and aarti.
Upon reaching Nasiyan, Acharya Vihar Sagar addressed the gathering, stating that the upcoming Patta Acharya Mahotsav of Acharya Vishuddha Sagar Maharaj would set a new historic milestone for the community and encouraged all to participate and earn spiritual merit.
Rajkumar Patodi, president of the Digambar Jain samaj social parliament and publicity head Satish Jain shared that Acharya Ji’s sangh had walked thousands of kilometres from sacred Sammed Shikharji to reach Indore.
The historic Patta Acharya Mahotsav will be held from Sunday to May 2, at Sumati Dham, Gandhinagar, with 61 saints and Aryikas participating.
