Indore: Man Booked For Harassing, Stalking 30-Year-Old Doctor

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A man has been booked for allegedly harassing and stalking a female doctor in the Bhanwarkuan area, police said on Sunday. The accused was on the run till the filing of the report.  

According to her police complaint, the 30-year-old doctor said she runs a clinic in the area. A few days ago, the accused, Gaurav Nahar, visited her clinic for some treatment. Following that, he allegedly started making phone calls to her and harassing her.

When she blocked his mobile number, he allegedly started stalking her when she was on her way home from the clinic. The accused allegedly also sent her a message for friendship. 

Bhanwarkuan police station in-charge Rajkumar Yadav told the Free Press that they were gathering information on the accused and assured that he would be arrested soon.

14 -year-old lodges complaint

In another incident, a 14-year-old girl has lodged a complaint with the Chandan Nagar police that a youth of her colony has been harassing her for a few days by stalking her. In her complaint, the girl said that the accused, Shakti, also made obscene gestures at her when she was standing outside her house on Saturday.

When the complainant’s maternal uncle tried to talk with the family of the accused, they allegedly hurled abuses at him. A case has been registered against the accused and the police have started a search for him.
