A major block of three hours will be undertaken by Western Railway during the intervening night of 19th and 20th April 2025 (Saturday/Sunday) from 1:15 am to 4:15 am. This block is being scheduled for the launching of the main girders of the Wankhede Foot Over Bridge (South), located between Churchgate and Marine Lines stations. Due to this essential work, seven suburban local trains will be affected.
According to Western Railway, a Borivali–Churchgate local scheduled to depart Borivali at 8:50 pm on 19th April 2025 will remain cancelled. Similarly, a Churchgate–Borivali local scheduled to depart Churchgate at 4:38 am on 20th April 2025 will also be cancelled.
Additionally, a Borivali–Churchgate local scheduled to depart Borivali at 12:10 am on 20th April 2025 will be short-terminated at Mumbai Central and will not operate between Mumbai Central and Churchgate.
A Virar–Churchgate local departing Virar at 11:49 pm on 19th April 2025 will also be short-terminated at Mumbai Central. Another Borivali–Churchgate local, departing Borivali at 12:30 am on 20th April 2025, will terminate at Mumbai Central. Similarly, a Virar–Churchgate local departing Virar at 12:05 am on 20th April 2025 will also be short-terminated at Mumbai Central.
The first Churchgate–Virar local on 20th April 2025, scheduled to depart Churchgate at 4:15 am, will remain partially cancelled between Churchgate and Mumbai Central. It will instead depart from Mumbai Central at 4:25 am.
The Churchgate–Borivali local scheduled to depart at 4:18 am on 20th April 2025 will also be partially cancelled between Churchgate and Mumbai Central.
Meanwhile, a Virar–Churchgate local departing Virar at 11:30 pm on 19th April 2025 will arrive at Churchgate at 1:10 am as per schedule. This will be the last local train to run from Virar up to Churchgate before the block begins.
