A scam of crores in the name of road repair has been exposed in Deoria Public Works Department. JE Ram Ganesh Paswan, who demanded six crores from the government, has been suspended. The file has been sent to the Chief Minister's Office for action against AE and XEN. This amount was demanded for the repair of the road built in the year 2015.

At the same time, a file has been sent to the Chief Minister's Office for action against AE Sudhir Kumar and XEN Anil Jatav. Soon they will also be suspended. The role of other officers is also being investigated in this matter.

Principal Secretary of Public Works Department, Ajay Chauhan said that in the year 2015, a tender was issued to build a 50 km road from Kaptan Ganj to Rudrapur. The contract for road construction from Gauri Bazar to Rudrapur was given to Jai Shakti Construction Company.

After some part of the road was built, the Asian Development Bank also released an amount of Rs 38.64 crore for the construction of this road. With this amount, the Public Works Department completed the construction of the road in the year 2022. Six crore rupees were left, which was sent back to the government.

In the month of March in the last financial year, when all the departments are under pressure to spend the budget, at the same time, the officials of Deoria Public Works in collusion made a proposal of Rs 6.8 crore for the repair of the said road and sent it to the government.

It is surprising that the officials of the Public Works Headquarters sent the approval to release the said amount to the government without even inspecting this road. As a result, the amount was also released.

After this, preparations were made for sharing the money, but a cold war started between JE, AE and XEN and the concerned clerks regarding the distribution of money. As a result, the whole game of collusion was exposed. On getting information about this, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh got the matter investigated and directed the Principal Secretary to take action.

After this, the JE has been suspended and the file has been sent to the Chief Minister's Office for action against AE and XEN. Also, investigation is being done on others involved in this matter.
