Police have rushed to a seaside town after a body was discovered in the centre.
were called to Southport following a report of a sudden death at around 11am on Friday, April 18. A body was discovered in the town's gardens.
Officers have cordoned off the scene and said enquiries are ongoing. The cordon was placed around a huge part of the pathway close to Southport War Memorial.

The force added that officers remain at the scene "while the relevant people are contacted", the force incident manager added.

Green tarpaulin could also be seen surrounding a bench and officers could be seen gathering evidence.
