Before making his entrance into the iconic house, Michael decided to settle talk around his bleach blonde locks before they had even began. He previously denied his do is a hairpiece, but said it has been a little 'enhanced'.

The 74-year-old had only ever spoken once about the tweaks to his famous thatch to the back in 2014. Insisting he doesn't wear a wig, he told us: “It’s a lot more complicated than that.

"OK, all I will admit to is that there is some - but only some - enhancement of the follicular area.” He refused to say whether the “enhancement” had applied to the middle or sides of his scalp, or all over.

Now, Michael has finally settled the chatter around his locks in a cheeky comment. Speaking in his VT before entering where he was met by boos, he issued a 10-word statement.

He said: "I can show you the receipts, it cost a fortune." The remark seemed to confirm his hair is actually a wig that he purchased rather than grew himself.

Michael seemed to know his hair would be the topic of conversation as it was even discussed in Prime Minister's Questions back in 2019.

He had seen social media posts about Huw Merriman mocking him when he was caught on camera muttering "definitely a wig" to Kelly Tolhurst, the MP sitting next to him. The clip found its way onto social media, and was spotted by Michael who was far from amused by what he had seen.

Michael later told the : "Huw is pretty short-sighted, he's a relatively new member of Parliament - bless - he didn't know that is actually televised. And I'm sure if he did, he would have behaved in a more grown-up way."

Hosts and have welcomed this year's housemates into the iconic house. A fresh set of celebrities are ready to take on the hit social experiment as they see if they have what it takes to make it all the way to the final.

Last year, Ibiza Weekender star David Potts took home the top spot after winning the public vote. The star-studded line-up included the likes of Sharon Osbourne, , and several other notable names.

This year's instalment has already seen several changes, one of which is a change in location. to a "brand-new secret location". Big Brother was revived in 2023, with the celeb edition shortly following in 2024.

Singer Chesney Hawkes was the first housemate to enter the 2025 house and was already tasked with a mission. He had to greet the next four housemates with: "I am the one and only, Chesney Hawkes," in reference to his hit track.
