Selection Process and Exam Structure
A total of 200 vacancies will be filled through the UP PCS 2025. The selection process consists of three key stages: the preliminary examination, the main examination, and an interview. Candidates who pass the preliminary exam will be eligible for the main examination, and those who succeed in the main exam will be invited for an interview. The final selection will be based on the merit derived from the scores in the interview and main examination.
Exam Shifts and Requirements
Exam Schedule: The PCS 2025 Preliminary Exam will take place in two shifts. The first shift is scheduled from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, while the second shift will run from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The examination will be conducted across all 75 districts in the state, following the guidelines set by the Commission. Candidates must bring their admit card and a valid photo ID, such as an Aadhaar card, PAN card, or Voter ID, to the exam center. Entry to the exam hall will only be permitted after document verification.
Prohibited Items and Arrival Guidelines
Important Restrictions: Candidates should be aware that mobile phones, calculators, pagers, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, headphones, and earphones are strictly forbidden in the exam hall. It is crucial for candidates to arrive at the exam center at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Late arrivals will not be allowed to enter the examination venue.
