Celebrity Traitors returned to BBC One tonight (October 29) for another round of lies, suspense, and questionable game playing. Prior to tonight's episode, the Celebrity Traitors aired six episodes, and not one Traitor has been axed. A quick recap - last week Charlotte Church was bumped off, and later on, actor Mark Bonnar was banished from the Castle. Joe Wilkinson was then the next Celebrity Traitors contestant to be 'murdered' by Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross, and Cat Burns in the Traitors turret.
However, it was also the end of the road for Stephen Fry, who was innocently banished by the rest of the gang. Towards the end, we were left with a dramatic cliffhanger as Kate Garraway, Nick Mohammed, and Lucy Beaumont were all at risk of becoming the next murdered victim. So who did the traitors knock off next?
It turns out the terrible trio decided to get rid of Lucy Beaumont. Bad mistake. She exclaimed: "Oh my god. I am not happy with you at all. You've played this really, really well."
Arguably, Kate would have been the better choice to be binned off. I can't honestly believe she is still there. One thing about her is that she never seems to know anything. She innocently acts like a Traitor in each episode.
Ultimately, Lucy's murder then blew everything wide open, and chaos ensued. Nobody trusted each other - it was absolute madness that they still hadn't caught a Traitor yet. Would one of the Traitors feed another one to the wolves?
During the challenge, the players faced their fear of heights when they were tasked with crossing a rickety bridge suspended high in the air. Claudia told them that all they had to do was cross it while passing markers, which had £500 added to the prize pot. They worked in pairs, with one person crossing while another acted as a guide.
But that wasn't all. Suspended in the air was an all-important shield bag. The bridge was also half finished, so the player had to throw the shield bag across to safety. Overall, it was a rather boring rip-off of an I'm A Celebrity challenge, plus no one fell or dropped the bag.
But nothing will top Alan Carr crossing that bridge. He is the escapism we all need. No matter what he says, everyone is laughing, and it is TV gold. One viewer at home even said on X: "Worth every penny of the Licence Fee." I firmly agree.
In the end, Joe Marler won the shield from the mission. Hurry up and get me to the Roundtable. Cat Burns turning on Jonathan finally happened at last - a Traitor versus a Traitor. The series had finally hit its climax, and it was Jonathan who had the most votes. Honestly, it was about time.
They had finally done it. It was the most iconic bow out from Jonathan, who saw Traitors Alan and Cat both throw him under the bus. But things are only going to get harder from here, with only two days left until the final. They might catch Alan, but Cat might be the leading champion if she doesn't slip up.
I thought this episode was one for the history books. Kate was always confused, Joe managed to boss around the Roundtable, and finally, Jonathan was a diva with his exit. Well done, BBC.
But I do feel like one major element is missing-an all-important twist. In the last series, the show introduced the Seer task, which allowed one player to learn the identity of a Traitor and survive to tell the Faithfuls.
The twist was such a curveball to the much-loved show and thoroughly injected it with the excitement we needed in the lead-up to the final. But this episode definitely missed the mark and desperately cries out for a new twist to keep us all watching. The ability to gain information in this game could potentially be someone's golden ticket or their untimely downfall, which would be marvellous to watch.
The Celebrity Traitors airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
