Creative Director at Molly Woodward-Moor, said the simple remedy was washing-up liquid. This liquid has been shown to work wonders when it comes to lifting dirt or stains that may have built up and also helps to care for stone tiles.
To clean your patio and care for the various tiles on it, Woodward-Moor suggested the 69p item that can be bought in most leading supermarkets.
By adding vinegar and salt to your washing-up liquid, you can also have an effective weed-killing solution, as these products help draw moisture out of the weed's leaves.
The washing-up liquid solution can also be sprayed directly onto leaves on a dry day, and within a couple of days, most of the weeds will begin to die.
To use washing-up liquid to clean your patio, experts suggest diluting it with some warm tap water.
To use the product on the patio, the liquid can be diluted in warm tap water and then applied using a soft-bristled brush or a non-abrasive sponge.
This solution can then be scrubbed into any areas which may need cleaning.
For those concerned the solution may ruin any stones on your patio, fear not, as this gentle method helps to avoid any scratches to the surface or cause any damage to tiles.
Woodward-Moor suggests tending to debris and dirt in stone tiles once a month to reduce staining.
The expert added that deep cleaning of tiles should be done once or twice a year, ideally during the spring or autumn time.
The washing up liquid solution can be used once every few weeks as a preventative measure in weed prone areas, however should not be used on natural stones like limestone, marble, or travertine.
