The Chase erupted in chaos when contestant Pam from Liverpool gave a wrong answer, leaving host Bradley Walsh both howling with laughter and issuing a warning to viewers at home. Bradley, 65, welcomed four new players-Judith, Sam, Lee, and Pam-as they faced Paul Sinha, aka The Sinnerman. Pam, a 58-year-old supply teacher, impressed in the cash-builder with £4,000 and was aiming to fund a dream trip to the Rocky Mountains.
But her head-to-head ended with an unforgettable blunder. Bradley asked: "According to the Highway Code, which of these is allowed to use the pavements?" Pam confidently replied, "electric scooter," insisting, "I've seen people on them going around town." The ITV host was floored, telling her, "What?!" in total shock. As Pam tried to explain, she saw them on pavements all the time, Brad replied: "That doesn't mean they're allowed to go on there.
"You can't put octogenarians in the middle of the road with those. What do you expect them to do, go up the hard shoulder of the M1? How are people supposed to get about?"
When the answer was revealed to be mobility scooters, Bradley laughed: "Wow, what a surprise! How about that? It's mobility scooters."
After Pam was knocked out, Bradley made a tongue-in-cheek warning, saying: "I am so sorry. Please give my love to Liverpool.
"It's a fine city and I've been there many times. I've got many friends in Liverpool, most of them riding electric scooters on pavements.
"Just watch out for those. For those of you on the streets of Liverpool now, watch out for Pam as she weaves her way through on an e-scooter."
Fans on X piled in with their own digs. One wrote: "Daft women, electric scooters! Just because you've seen them doesn't make it legal, they're lethal."
Another quipped: "People have been seen robbing banks, luv. Doesn't mean it's legal."
The team also lost London contestant Sam who was caught by the Chaser after losing his confidence in the cash builder when he secured just two questions right earning them £2,000.
it was just Lee and Judith who were left in the final Chase. The pair scored 14 questions correctly and it was up to The Sinnerman to catch them out.
Lee and Judith were sadly caught with 43 seconds on the clock. "Well done anyway and sending wishes to everyone there in Scotland especially Glasgow got many family up there," Brad said as Judith was praised by the Chaser for her game.
