Royal fans appeared to mock Meghan Markle after she posted a throwback on her social media to mark her husband, Prince Harry's 41st birthday.The Duchess of Sussex took to her Instagram account to share a picture of her husband from 2015.
The Duke had visited Goodwood Aerodrome in Chichester to watch a Battle of Britain Flypast for the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. Meghan gushed about her husband in uniform, writing in a message: "Oh hi, Birthday Boy [fire emoji]."
But royal fans were not impressed with Meghan's choice and angle of the picture, with some dubbing it "insulting," while others accused her of mocking her own husband.
A user on X wrote: "This real? Omg Meghan hates Harry - using a 10 year old photo with him with hair how insulting."
A second one said: "She's wishing (sort of) him a happy birthday while mocking him!!"
A third one commented: "She posted this photo as a 'happy birthday' post on IG. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha"
A fourth one asked: "Could she have picked a worse photo?"
A fifth one added: "Is that for real? She really posted that? Holy $***"
A sixth one wrote: "Wait- this is real? I was scrolling and thought it was a meme mocking him posted by someone."
Meanwhile, another one opined: "It's such an unflattering photo."
However, other's appeared to like the Duchess's tribute to her husband, with one user writing: "This might be the bestest pic Duchess Meghan has ever shared with us for prince Harry . Happy birthday to the Duke."
A second one said: "Meghan dropping a throwback for Harry's 41st. that's how you lock in husband points. Strong birthday play."
A third one chimed: "Her soldier came home. Happy Birthday Prince Harry!! This photo is hilarious but has meaning."
