Robin Hood has just started airing on MGM+ and it stars newcomer Jack Patten in the title role.
The epic adventure series marks the Australian actor's first major TV role, and he has certainly landed on his feet playing the title character.
Not only this, he was able to work alongside huge names like Sean Bean and Connie Nielsen, and speaking exclusively to Reach titles, he opened up about the experience.
On what it was like working with Sean Bean, he said: "It was unreal." He continued: "I got to act for seven months, getting paid to act is unreal too.
"But to work on an awesome story as the lead character is another thing and then to work with great people, experienced actors, I can't really articulate myself right now about it because it's so awesome. [Sean] is so nice too, he's really down to earth, you know?"
The star admitted he was very emotional when he got the call confirming he would be playing the lead character.
He shared: "I was so happy, I was moving into my apartment with my girlfriend, we were pushing a mattress up the stairs and I had broken a window in the communal area, it was like a typical moving day.
"And then I got the call, so it was the best moving time ever. But yeah, I rang my mum, I rang my pop, I was very emotional actually.
"It had been quite a ride up to that point but I was so stoked."
Jack's co-star Lauren McQueen, who plays Marian in the series, opened up in a separate interview about her experience with Sean Bean.
She said: " I was so excited to work with him. He brings that extra level to the show and the Sheriff.
"He is so down to earth and such a normal guy. We had a nice conversation about Liverpool when we first met.
"He had done a TV show there, it was nice to relate to him in that way. I learnt so much from watching him on set."
Sean Bean plays Sheriff of Nottingham, with Connie Nielsen as Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine and Steve Waddington as the Earl of Huntingdon.
The 10-episode series will air weekly until the finale on December 28.
