Two Walkers flavours have left supermarket shelves, and some fans have been left disappointed. The iconic British crisp brand has been around for decades and often brings out new flavours to the delight of shoppers. The Worcestershire sauce flavour, for example, made a grand return earlier this year, making such a splash that people formed lengthy queues to get their hands on it. Walkers also introduced two brand new flavours this year, Masala Chicken and Sticky Teryaki, which have proven to be a hit with fans.
However, the brand sometimes removes flavours that aren't part of its permanent line-up. Recently, two flavours got the chop, and some fans have expressed their dismay. The latest flavours to be axed by Walkers are the Pizza Hut MAX products: the beloved Texan BBQ and Pepperoni Feast. While Walkers never promised that the flavours would be a permanent fixture in their line-up of classic flavours, some fans grew to love these flavours.
Both of them were launched by Walkers as part of a collaboration with Pizza Hut in 2023. However, the two flavours being axed are being replaced by two new exciting flavours that many fans of the crip brand will be eager to try.
Walkers MAX Chicken Kebab and Walkers MAX GDK Beef Kebab have hit shelves after Walkers teamed up with German Doner Kebab, which has opened up fast food restaurants across the UK in recent years.
If you are looking for these new flavours, you will find them in Spar, Home Bargains and Iceland. They have already received some pretty positive reviews from those who have tried them.
One online reviewer wrote: Best crisps I have tasted in a while, wow. Absolutely delicious. Go and buy them". He then gave the crisps an 8.5 out of 10.
However, some fans will undoubtedly miss the two flavours that have been axed. When they launched back in 2023, people lashed out in praise.
A spokesperson told the Metro: "We recently said goodbye to our two Pizza Hut Walkers MAX Flavours, Texan BBQ and Pepperoni Feast. Continuously evolving our portfolio allows us to create more exciting flavours for our crisp fans, like our recently launched limited-edition Walkers MAX German Doner Kebab flavours."
