The Great Pyramid of Giza has always been a source of mystery and interest calling in historians, explorers, people who are interested in this intriguing wonder of the world, from across the globe. But a new theory, presented by British anthropologist Dr. Michael Warner , is taking things to a whole new level. Warner claims that hidden deep beneath the iconic structure are two of the most sacred and historically significant artefacts in human history.
His theory is not just based on faith or folklore, he says, he has spent over a decade studying the area and has submitted his findings to Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities.
While the claim may sound unbelievable, Warner is standing firm. “It is a scientific revolution...for the benefit of all humanity,” he reportedly told the Daily Star. There are multiple pictures, videos, and years of geological survey data backing him, and he believes that he is on the brink of uncovering a truth that could change world history.
Dr. Warner believes a sealed, double-chambered cave lies beneath the Great Pyramid’s Southern Passageway, holding both the sarcophagus of Jesus Christ and the legendary Ark of the Covenant . The cave, which is carved into the bedrock, is said to be blocked by a final stone that prevents the continuation of the tunnel. “My years of surveying have revealed the presence of man-made structures beyond this point,” Warner said, according to the Daily Star. He believes that these structures contain the long-lost religious relics.
What Is the Ark of the Covenant?
The Ark of the Covenant is a sacred gold-plated chest described in Jewish and Christian texts. It is said to contain the Ten Commandments given to Moses by God. If Warner’s theory is true, finding the Ark would be one of the most significant archaeological discoveries ever made. Warner also says Jesus’s tomb lies alongside it, which is protected inside the Cave of the Patriarchs.
Warner’s research also draws comparisons between biblical and Quranic texts and ancient Mesopotamian clay tablets. According to him, sacred locations like “Mount Sinai,” “Mount Zion,” “the Mountain of Israel,” and the Quran’s “Mountain of Light” may all actually refer to the Great Pyramid itself. He even believes that Jesus gave his famous “Sermon on the Mount” at the site. Warner says all historical monuments in holy books point to the Great Pyramid.
The Deepest, most remote part of the pyramid
Warner has gathered photographic and video evidence from what he describes as “the deepest, and most remote part of the original pyramid structure that is carved out of the bedrock itself.” He presented his findings to Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities in 2021. The Director of the Science Office reportedly called it “a scientific revolution...for the benefit of all humanity,”
After submitting his data, Warner was invited to work as a consultant with the Scan Pyramids Mission , which is an international group of scientists from Egypt, France, Canada, and Japan. The team agreed to scan beyond the Southern Passageway’s final stone on one condition, that Warner shares his full data with them. He complied, but he says the team has now failed to move forward with their promised scanning efforts using muon (subatomic)radiation.
Warner has called for global help to support him
Frustrated by the delays, Warner has appealed to the Prime Minister of Lebanon for help in removing bureaucratic obstacles and reigniting the project. He has specifically pointed to Egypt’s former Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Zahi Hawass, as an obstacle. Warner said, “Hawass sees himself as the guardian of the pyramids,” and claims that while current Egyptian officials are open to his research, the “old guard” is standing in the way.
A discovery that could change everything?
Warner believes this isn’t just about history, it’s about hope. He says uncovering these artefacts could lead to unity and healing. He says, “This discovery can bring peace in the Middle East.”
