Paresh Rawal has officially stepped away from 'Hera Pheri 3', sparking widespread discussion about his unexpected departure. New reports indicate that the actor has returned his signing amount to the film’s producers and has officially concluded his involvement in the anticipated sequel.
Paresh returned Rs 11 lakhs
According to Bollywood Hungama, Rawal returned a sum of Rs 11 lakhs—the amount he was paid as an advance. He added 15% annual interest along with a goodwill amount to settle the matter amicably. “Paresh Rawal has returned the signing amount of ₹11 lakhs with 15% p.a. interest and also a little more money for stepping away from the series,” a source stated.

About Paresh's remuneration and exit
The reports also revealed that Paresh had been promised a hefty Rs 15 crore for the project. However, an unusual clause in the agreement stipulated that the remaining Rs 14.89 crore would be disbursed only a month after the film's release.
Paresh decided to exit as the makers scheduled the film's principal photography for next year, with a potential release in late 2026 or even 2027. He chose to step away rather than wait years for payment.
This has now led to legal friction, with Akshay Kumar’s production house allegedly taking legal action against the actor, seeking damages of Rs 25 crores.
