Celebrating the sweet 15th anniversary of Call of Duty: Black Ops , the franchise is here with the Black Ops Tribute Event , a sort-after limited-time celebration filled with nostalgia, unlocks, and exclusive goodies. On from April 17, 2025, the Black Ops Tribute Event will serve as a brief jaunt through the memory lane of the Black Ops series that runs deep in the hearts of Call of Duty fans; it's a multi-tier grind giving out cosmetics, weapons, and a brand-new operator skin, reverberating through these most beloved series of Call of Duty's history.
The ultimate throwback: What is the Black Ops Tribute?Designed to honor the story behind the saga of Black Ops, the Black Ops Tribute Event features a gargantuan assortment of 17 free rewards to players grinding XP across Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Whether you've been there since Nuketown or you are just learning the ropes, this event has something for everyone. Oh yes, full game owners get special bonuses.


Instead of the standard challenge concourse that tackles bits of the game modes , this event allows XP to be earned in any game mode—Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone—while steadily earning reputation numbers toward exclusive items. You'll need to go fast though; once this event is over, sorrowfully many items will vanish forever, save for new weapons becoming permanently unlockable through an armory challenge afterward.

All rewards unlockedThe tribute rewards mix various forms of perks, cosmetics, and gameplay elements that bear the spirit of the previous titles. Here is a glimpse of what could be taken:

• More early Rewards: "Intimidation Tactics" Weapon Sticker (15,000 XP), "Bomb on Wheels" Spray (40,000 XP) to start-up.
  
• Zombies Goodies: Gobblegums like "On the House" and "Crate Power" will return for BO6 owners.
  
• Gameplay Enhancements: Introduction of Thermite (180,000 XP) and Death Machine Scorestreak (617,000 XP), Nail Gun added to the game, and Close Shave perk, too.
  
• Cosmetic Finish: Expect some loading screens, decals, weapon charms, and, of course, the much-anticipated "John Black Ops" operator skin, earned only at the mastery tier.
  

Keep in mind, the items marked with an asterisk are exclusive to BO6 owners, which means Warzone-only players can still join in the reward training but won't unlock everything. Fortunately, the in-game tracker provides a clear list of which items are closed behind full game access.
