Call of Duty has launched a pay-to-win emote in Black Ops 6 and Warzone

Pay-to-win items have become a regulation in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and in Warzone. No matter how expensive an item is, if it’s helping you to win matches, fans are going all out for this. And Treyarch is taking advantage of this opportunity itself. That is why now there is an emote, which everyone is dying to purchase.


We have seen how outrageous the microtransactions have become in Call of Duty. Previously, it was just the Operator skins or some weapons camos, for which fans were ready to empty their pockets. But now, an emote is doing that on its own.


The premium ‘Surprise Gift’ emote in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone

Call of Duty has recently launched the Cardboard Commando bundle . In this bundle, there is an emote named ‘Surprise Gift’ which has become a game changer. This emote literally hides players in cardboard boxes even in the middle of the matches, which makes them almost invisible to enemy eyes.


After being hidden, the cardboard box looks like any other open world element and blends to the environment. However, the problem is that now everyone wants to surprise their enemies in matches with this emote, but it’s locked behind a paywall.

In order to get your hands on this highly wanted emote, you need to buy the whole Cardboard Commando bundle which costs 2,400 COD points. The fun part is that, as this emote is giving an unexpected ege to the players against their opponents, they are not shying from buying the whole bundle for that one emote.


This emote has stirred huge controversy in the community as this has become a pay-to-win element in the game. Players are finding new ways to surprise their enemies with this emote who haven’t paid for these, breaking the balance of the game by monetary advantages. Non-paying players are asking the developers to fix this emote asap so they don't get “surprised” by a cardboard box.


However, this is not the first time that Treyarch has been criticized for adding pay-to-win elements in the game. Previously, the company faced huge backlash for the Roze skin and the Terminator skin.
