An unidentified woman allegedly left a brick marked with a nazi symbol and the word “nazi” in chalk on the bumper of a Tesla cybertruck parked in Brooklyn, reported local media Boro Park 24 News.

The incident took place around 8 pm on Monday on Ditmas Avenue near Ocean Parkway in the predominantly Jewish neighbourhood of Kensington.

The 38-year-old car owner discovered the brick along with a bag of trash dumped on the vehicle and promptly called 911.

According to police and photographs from the scene, the woman also scrawled the hateful message on the vehicle before fleeing on a scooter.

She was last seen wearing a red puffy jacket and black trousers, as per witness accounts and police sources. The NYPD’s hate crime task force has taken over the case, but no arrests have been made yet.

The attack follows another similar incident on March 27, when two suspects were caught on video scratching a nazi symbol and the word “nazis” into the side of a cybertruck in Bed-Stuy. The vandals were seen on the vehicle’s camera.

Tesla has received the hardest blow in the last few weeks as a global protest erupted against the vehicle brand. Hundreds of Tesla cars have been set on fire while other Tesla properties have been vandalised by the protesters.

Owing to his overarching influence within the current administration, Tesla CEO Musk has launched an aggressive campaign to trim what he calls “bureaucratic excess.” Thousands of federal employees have been asked to resign voluntarily, while several government agencies face the threat of downsising or complete shutdown.
