Honor X70i Review: Impressive Camera and Long Battery Life, But No 5G

Send Push

New Delhi: Honor has introduced the Honor X70i, the latest addition to its X series, targeting users who prioritize style, camera quality, and battery performance. While the device doesn’t support 5G—a noticeable omission in 2025—it still offers a compelling package for those focused on everyday usability and multimedia experience.

Power-Packed Performance Without 5G

The Honor X70i runs on Android v15 and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset, which includes an octa-core processor (2.5 GHz dual-core + 2.0 GHz hexa-core). Coupled with 8GB RAM, the phone ensures smooth multitasking and swift app transitions.

While the lack of 5G connectivity might disappoint some, the phone performs consistently well over 4G networks, making it ideal for users who are not yet reliant on next-gen mobile networks.

Vibrant AMOLED Display for Smooth Visuals

The device features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (1080×2412 pixels) and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate. This combination offers rich colors, fluid scrolling, and excellent media playback quality. Its punch-hole design and minimal bezels add a premium aesthetic, placing it a notch above many competitors in the segment.

108 MP Camera Steals the Spotlight

Photography is a key selling point of the Honor X70i. It sports a single 108 MP rear camera with 10x digital zoom and LED flash, capable of capturing detailed and vibrant images, especially in daylight. Video capabilities include Full HD recording at 30fps.

For selfies and video calls, there’s an 8 MP front-facing wide-angle camera that also supports 1080p video recording—more than adequate for casual use and social media content creation.

Massive Battery With Fast Charging

One of the standout features is the 6000 mAh battery, which promises all-day usage even under heavy workloads like gaming or streaming. The 35W fast charging support via USB Type-C ensures the phone quickly gets back to full power, minimizing downtime.

Stylish Build, Ample Storage

The Honor X70i is built with a modern, sleek design, and includes dust and water resistance, enhancing its durability. With 256 GB of internal storage, users get generous space for apps, media, and files. However, it lacks a microSD slot for expandable storage, which might be limiting for heavy media consumers.

Verdict: A Stylish Performer With a Few Trade-Offs

The Honor X70i strikes a balance between performance, aesthetics, and endurance. While the absence of 5G support and expandable storage may hold it back in some circles, its camera quality, display performance, and battery life make it a strong contender in the mid-range segment.
