CTET is a national-level eligibility test conducted twice a year — typically in July and December — and is mandatory for candidates seeking teaching positions in central government schools such as Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and Army Public Schools.
CTET 2025: Notification Release and Eligibility CriteriaThe official notification for CTET July 2025 is expected shortly, and it will include key information such as exam dates, syllabus, eligibility, and registration details. Eligibility for CTET Paper-1 (Class 1–5):

12th pass with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)

Upload scanned copies of your latest photo and signature
Review the form carefully before submission
Pay the application fee through the available online modes
Submit the final application and download the confirmation page for future reference

Minimum Passing Marks and Certificate ValidityTo qualify in CTET, candidates must score a minimum of 60% (90 out of 150 marks) for General category and 55% (82 out of 150 marks) for SC/ST categories. A notable advantage is that the CTET scorecard is now valid for a lifetime, eliminating the need for repeat attempts once passed.
Clearing Paper-1 qualifies candidates to teach Classes 1–5, while Paper-2 is for those aiming to teach Classes 6–8.
