Dhanush ’s much-awaited film 'Idly Kadai' has officially been postponed, with the new release date set for October 1. The film, which has generated a lot of curiosity among fans, was initially announced for an April 10 release. It was expected to clash with Ajith Kumar ’s 'Good Bad Ugly,' making it one of the most anticipated box office battles. However, the makers have now decided to push the release to later this year. "See you soon in theaters #Idlykadai—releasing worldwide on October 1. Written and directed by @dhanushkraja," captioned the makers by sharing the latest poster of Dhanush's fourth directorial.

Postponed from April to October

Originally, 'Idly Kadai' was slated to hit theaters alongside 'Good Bad Ugly,' creating a buzz among cinephiles. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the makers have opted for a new release window. With 'Good Bad Ugly' gearing up for its April 10 launch, the delay of 'Idly Kadai' avoids a direct face-off between two of Tamil cinema’s biggest stars. This decision also allows the team to ensure a polished final product.

Shooting yet to be completed

One of the major reasons behind the delay is that the shooting for 'Idly Kadai' is still not complete. The team has yet to film a crucial song sequence, which is planned to be shot abroad. Scheduling constraints and production delays have contributed to the postponement, as the makers want to deliver a high-quality entertainer without rushing through the final stages of filming.

Fans await the October release.

While the delay may disappoint some fans, the October 1 release gives 'Idly Kadai' a better opportunity to shine without a major clash at the box office. With Dhanush at the helm, expectations are high for this project, and the additional time taken for completion is likely to enhance the film’s overall appeal. Fans now eagerly await further updates and the grand overseas song shoot.
